Château Andron Blanquet

This château is one of the oldest estates in Saint-Estèphe. It takes its name from the village where it was built, Blanquet, combined with the name of a very old Saint-Estèphe family, Andron.

The vineyards of Château Andron-Blanquet are situated on the gravelly ridge of “Cos,” surrounded by the châteaux Lafite Rothschild, Cos d’Estournel, and Cos-Labory. This estate, historically classified as a “Cru Grand Bourgeois Exceptionnel,” was thus welcomed into the Audoy family as the younger sibling of Cos Labory. Bernard Audoy and his family then took up residence there. The principles guiding the production of the Cos Labory Grand Cru apply equally to its younger neighbor. The vines are tended with the same care, and both wines are aged according to the same Grand Cru standards.
