"A great, conquering wine that shines for its ability to be powerful, yet subtle, co-signed by Henri and Bruno Duboscq!"
"Don't be put off by the slightly woody notes. This wine is built for long ageing, with impressive depth and complexity. Spicy berries, white pepper, hibiscus and hints of cedar, chocolate and minerals. The highlight is the tannins, both dusty and abundant, which give it structure, elegance and precision. The finish, lasting about a minute, is truly caressing and long. A wise buy for this vintage". (James Suckling 2025)

About the wine:
What finesse of fragrance and texture, you can feel the great Cabernets expressing all their class in this precise, long 2022, with a fresh, bewitching finish. As always.
About the domain :
This world-famous cru is located in Marbuzet, a hillside facing the Gironde. Its vineyards lie halfway between Cos d'Estournel and Montrose. Henri Dubosq, a key figure in the Médoc, has been successfully vinifying the estate's wines since 1982. In 2006, he joined forces with Philippe Jorand, a Michelin-starred chef, to enhance the 13 hectares of Château Layauga-Duboscq, located on excellent terroirs around Gaillan and Queyrac. The wines of Haut-Marbuzet are always of great constitution, combining roundness and voluptuousness, with a great aptitude for ageing. Haut-Marbuzet is truly an unmissable super-property in the appellation.

About the wine:
As usual, this estate has produced a sensual, delicate wine in a region where power and austerity are often the order of the day. Haut-Marbuzet 2022 reveals an elegant, seductive bouquet of licorice, black berries, cherries and flowers mingled with barely perceptible oak. Medium- to full-bodied, homogeneous and complex, it is enveloping with a fleshy core of fruit, velvety tannins and a long, mineral, almost saline finish. 2028 - 2048

Domaine rated (guide 2022) 2*Stars (These great estates, often endowed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the wine:
The small, highly concentrated berries have produced a wine that is very dense, but also very fine and delicate, with a high tannic mass but ultra-silky. An anthological Haut-Marbuzet, co-signed by Henri and Bruno Duboscq.
About the domain :
No other Bordeaux cru can boast such a community of unconditional wine lovers. For over thirty years, Haut-Marbuzet and its truculent and dynamic owner, Henri Dubosq, now supported by his sons, have conquered the hearts of discerning oenophiles. If the wines have long been considered charming in their youth (which they undeniably are), but limited in terms of ageing potential, it takes tasting mature vintages of this Saint-Estèphe cru to understand that its terroir is above all capable of producing wines that age wonderfully. The old Merlots planted on blue clay give Haut-Marbuzet's bouquet superb truffle notes reminiscent of certain old Pomerols. Like many other wines, Haut-Marbuzet suffered a slight setback in the early 2000s, but its comeback in recent years makes it more essential than ever in the cellar of wine-lovers.

About the wine:
Haut-Marbuzet's bouquet is serene and confident. It announces power, but without getting carried away. On the contrary, it reveals a wealth of details, combining maturity and freshness with, for example, notes of plums, blackberries and licorice, complemented by cocoa beans and mineral nuances (chalk, graphite). The dense attack paves the way for a conquering wine that shines with its ability to be powerful, yet subtle, through smooth, compact tannins, while an acidity as structuring as it is juicy ensures freshness. An exceptional wine that should be left in the cellar for a while! 2030-2057
