"What a bargain!"
“Medium garnet red. In addition to the oak, which comes through first, I also detect fruity notes and spices. An inviting hint of candied fruit. The palate confirms this charming character, but there is a lively response to it. The body is creamy, balanced, dense, and perfectly supported by its tannins. These tannins work in tandem with the acidity , which lends the wine character and freshness. A promising wine.” (Yves Beck 2018) - Delivered in a wooden case for all orders of 12 bottles of this wine (excluding Point Relais delivery method)

Rated estate (2020 guide): 2 stars (A solid, recommendable wine, though slightly more consistent and uniform than the previous vintage)
About the estate:
This unassuming 14-hectare estate, located right next to Haut-Marbuzet on the same plateau, offers a fine representation of the terroirs of Saint-Estèphe. However, the high proportion of Merlot in the blends gives the wine a deliberately charming and flattering style.

About the wine:
Petit Bocq 2016 is a deep garnet-purple color with aromas of cedar and earth, centered around notes of red and black currants, cherries, and forest floor. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, elegant, vibrant, and refreshing. 2019–2031

Wine rated (2021 guide) 16,5/20 (Very good wine)
About the wine:
A distinguished, full-bodied, and well-structured wine with a very ripe profile. A fine classic with a promising future. The oak needs to integrate.

About the wine:
A supple, full-bodied wine of medium body for this appellation, with plenty of energy that animates the moderately dry, tannic finish. Lovely black fruit makes it approachable, so it’s ready to drink now or can be cellared.

Deep garnet red color. An opulent nose of raspberry and cocoa. A powerful, slightly sap-like attack, full-bodied and rich with ripe black fruit, accented by hints of forest floor, mocha, and leather, enveloped by sweet spices and an elegant, well-integrated oakiness. These beautiful flavors express themselves in perfect balance against a backdrop of dense, well-integrated, and polished tannins, with a supple and velvety texture, enhanced by a meticulously measured touch of acidity. This refined profile lingers long in a creamy finish. Very well-aged, well-structured, and complete, with the added bonus of assured longevity through at least 2030. A wine to "stock up on" by the case if possible, given its particularly excellent quality and attractive price. Offering voluptuous and smooth sensations at its peak, this gourmet Petit Bocq is just waiting to be enjoyed with refined, tender dishes, such as pheasant salmis accompanied by braised endives. Rating = 4.5.
