"A beautifully crafted Saint-Estèphe at a fair price!"
“Deep purple. A delicate, complex bouquet with notes of black berries, licorice, and chocolate. On the palate, the wine is rich, elegant, and creamy. It has good body and fine-grained tannins that unfold slowly. A fruity, lingering finish. A fine wine with excellent aging potential. ” (Decanter 2021) - Delivery in a wooden case is available for orders of 12 bottles of this wine (depending on country and selected shipping method)

Rated estate (2020 guide) 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)
About the estate:
This discreet 14-hectare château, located in the immediate vicinity of Haut-Marbuzet, on the same plateau, offers a fine representation of the terroirs of Saint-Estèphe. However, the high proportion of Merlot in the blends gives the wine a deliberately charming and flattering style.

Wine rated (2020 guide) 94/100
About wine:
A superb bouquet that beautifully blends fruity notes, aging, and terroir. On the palate, the wine displays character thanks to its fullness and elegance. The tannins are robust yet smooth, reaching their full expression on the finish. Beautiful aromatic intensity that lingers through the finish. The finish is marked by intense and persistent notes of black berries. 2024–2040

Wine rated (2019 guide) 90/100
About wine:
A deep, intense, and beautiful color. The nose is moderately intense, with fruit that is both sunny and fresh. Rich on the attack, dense as it develops, juicy and creamy, the palate is one of the most well-rounded I know. The wine finishes with a savory, long finish and well-integrated tannins.

Full-bodied and unpretentious yet carefully crafted, the 2018 Petit Bocq offers a deep, slightly resinous flavor and a rich, velvety texture with well-balanced acidity. Firm, rounded tannins envelop a core of macerated black fruit, tinged with a hint of spice and soft notes of mocha. Medium length, tinged with a hint of drying bitterness. Moderate price. Enjoy this fall with a venison stew or an old-fashioned pheasant salmis, served with homemade turnip purée. Rating = 4.

Review by Mr. DOMINIQUE P. Published on 11/14/2023
Rough, not exactly a “fine wine,” harsh. Well… after half a day in a decanter and two days in the fridge in a vacuum-sealed bottle, the harshness softens a bit—it’s still a little rough, but the wine opens up and becomes pleasant.
