"Juicy and enticing, it'll put a smile on your face! I love it—it's much more expressive than Le Petit Lion right now. Magnificent! ~ Decanter"
“Clos du Marquis reveals itself with delicacy and depth right from the start, through nuances of black cherries, plums, spices, and graphite, before highlighting its freshness with notes of mint. Smooth on the palate, the wine stands out for its serenity, power, and quiet strength. The tannins emerge late, offering well-structured power, complemented by incisive acidity that underscores the wine’s character and freshness. An imposing, invigorating, elegant, and persistent wine that once again highlights its grandeur and authenticity. ” (Yves Beck 2026) - This vintage marks both the Delon family’s 125th anniversary at Las Cases and the first vintage overseen by Arnaud Delon (5th generation).

About the wine:
Aromas of violet flowers and intense black fruits. Rich in flavor, this wine is bursting with life, energy, and depth, featuring supple tannins and ripe, fleshy fruit, while retaining a fresh, chalky note. It’s full-bodied on the palate and quintessentially Saint-Julien this year: ripe and charming, approachable, very accessible—like a warm embrace. Juicy and enticing, it’ll put a smile on your face! I love it—much more expressive than Le Petit right now. Magnificent. 2030–2050

About the estate:
Often regarded as the second wine of Léoville Las Cases, Clos du Marquis—established in 1902—is in fact a cru in its own right. Its vineyard, planted on a very uniform Mindel gravel terroir, is located northwest of the village of Saint-Julien, while the main vineyard lies to the northeast.
