"A leading name in Bordeaux white wines, the Dubourdieu family has produced a 2018 vintage of exceptional quality!"

“The 2018 Doisy-Daëne is exuberant and intensely aromatic right from the first sip. It is bursting with sweet floral notes, apple pie, pineapple, and mint. Brilliant and beautifully fresh, with remarkable presence and great richness, the 2018 Doisy-Daëne is simply fabulous. Aeration allows it to fully reveal its texture and depth. It takes a great deal of self-control to resist the temptation to taste this 2018 during a professional tasting, as it’s the kind of wine I prefer to savor for hours. Wine rated (2025 guide) 95/100

Rated estate (2011 guide) 2*Stars (These exceptional estates, often boasting fabulous terroirs, are must-haves that, thanks to the consistency and excellence of their wines, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers)

About the wine:

A lovely nose of fresh pineapple; it’s clean and pure, with a fine quality of liquor and fruit of great precision. While Barsac’s elegance is never lacking, this vintage is quite supple, more refined than full-bodied, and more restrained than expansive on the palate. At this stage, it does not fully convey the energy of Barsac’s limestone terroir.

About the estate:

"Denis Dubourdieu masterfully crafts wines from grapes harvested with precision, at the moment when noble rot offers the perfect balance between rich sugar content and aromatic finesse... His wines display a purity and elegance that make them all the more sought-after, especially given their reasonable prices."
