“A leading name in Bordeaux white wines, the Dubourdieu family has produced a 2018 vintage of exceptional quality!”
“The 2018 Doisy-Daëne is exuberant and intensely aromatic right from the first sip. It is bursting with sweet floral notes, apple pie, pineapple, and mint. Brilliant and beautifully fresh, with remarkable presence and great richness, the 2018 Doisy-Daëne is simply fabulous. Aeration allows it to fully reveal its texture and depth. It takes a great deal of self-control to resist the temptation to taste this 2018 during a professional tasting, as it’s the kind of wine I prefer to savor for hours. About the wine:
Silky texture, pronounced notes of gunpowder and cigar box—which enhance the wine’s complexity and appeal—blended with citrus, linden blossom, and sweet spices. An original and distinctive wine. Aged in 30% new oak barrels. 2021–2044

Wine rated (2025 guide) 95/100
Rated estate (2011 guide): 2*Stars (These exceptional estates, often boasting fabulous terroirs, are must-haves that, thanks to the consistency and excellence of their wines, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers)
About the wine:
A lovely nose of fresh pineapple—clean and pure, with excellent quality and fruit that’s remarkably precise. While Barsac’s elegance is never in short supply, this wine is quite supple, more refined than full-bodied, and more restrained than voluminous on the palate. At this stage, it does not fully convey the energy of Barsac’s limestone terroir.
About the estate:
"Denis Dubourdieu masterfully crafts wines from grapes harvested with precision, at the moment when noble rot offers the best balance between sugar content and aromatic finesse... The wines display a purity and elegance that make them all the more sought-after, especially given their reasonable prices."
