Château Haut-Bergeron

Château Haut-Bergeron is owned by the Lamothe family, one of the oldest families in Sauternes. The family heritage and expertise have been passed down through five generations. Neighboring Château Yquem, Château Haut-Bergeron is located in Preignac, with vineyards in the communes of Sauternes, Barsac, and Bommes.

Today, Château Haut-Bergeron's vineyard covers 17 hectares of vines, planted on predominantly clay-gravel soil with southern exposure. Regular and careful work on the soil is a priority, with aeration and a sustainable approach to amendments, using only organic materials. The wines of Château Haut-Bergeron are vinified in a traditional and meticulous manner, with great attention paid to the aging process.

Château Haut-Bergeron wines can be enjoyed young and fruity or more mature, and they pair well with many dishes, including foie gras, of course.
