(2013 Vintage Notes)

With the 2014 Auxey Duresse, Agnès Paquet presents the thirteenth vintage of this indulgent cuvée with its charming fruitiness. Here, the Pinot Noir expresses itself through roundness, suppleness, and aromas of morello cherry and blackcurrant buds.

Wine rated (2016 guide) 16/20 (2013 vintage) (Very good wine)

Rated estate (2021 guide): 2 stars (A solid, recommendable wine, though slightly more consistent and uniform than the previous vintage)

About the estate:

Agnès Paquet produced her first vintage in Meloisey in 2001 from a family-owned vineyard in Auxey-Duresses. She has masterfully managed her estate and now oversees 12.5 hectares in the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune, Auxey-Duresses, Chassagne-Montrachet, and Saint-Aubin, where the vines are tended with care according to organic principles. The whites are crisp and refined, and the reds—partially vinified from whole clusters—are precise and full-bodied. Of particular note is the production of a house sparkling wine, made using the traditional method and produced exclusively from Aligoté.

Rated estate (2021 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking, and as such, all the estates listed here—even those without a star—represent, in our view, the pinnacle of French winemaking.)

About the estate:

It was to prevent the sale of the family vineyard in Auxey-Duresses that Agnès Paquet, a business school graduate, chose to become a winemaker. She released her first vintage in 2001. Her style consistently emphasizes honesty and freshness, which we greatly appreciate.
