A&A Devillard - Chardonnay Le Renard 2006
Note: Bettane & Desseauve 14.5/20, awarded the "Vin Plaisir" distinction "Le Bonheur tout de suite"
100% Pinot Noir for the red... and naturally 100% Chardonnay for the white—here is the other expression of Le Renard, where the fruit and minerality of the Chardonnay are beautifully highlighted. A cuvée offering a delightful indulgence, with delicate iodine-like nuances to be savored with friends as an aperitif...

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2025 guide): 3 stars (High-quality production, setting the standard in its sector)
About the estate:
The Devillard family has expanded beyond the borders of Burgundy by acquiring the Rolet estate in the Jura. In Mercurey, Château de Chamirey remains their largest Burgundian property, spanning 37 hectares, 15 of which are Premier Cru vineyards. Another unique feature of the estate is its table d’hôtes restaurant in the heart of the hamlet. A skilled technical team, led by the dynamic duo of Robert Vernizeau and Enrico Peyrone, is constantly striving to improve work in the vineyards, winemaking, and aging, always in pursuit of excellence. The 2017 vintage is particularly successful and scored highly for both whites and reds in our blind tastings. A step up in our ranking could be achieved very soon.

About the estate:
Based in Mercurey, Amaury Devillard and his sister Aurore took a gamble in 2005 by taking over the entire distribution of the family’s various estates: Ch. de Chamirey and Dom. de la Ferté (Côte Chalonnaise), Dom. des Perdrix (Côte de Nuits), and Dom. de la Garenne (Mâconnais).
