Château de Fleys - L'Incontournable 2016
Sélectionné
Bettane & Desseauve
“Exotic notes on the nose, balanced and harmonious on the palate” (Bettane & Desseauve Guide 2019) This must-try wine combines floral and white fruit notes with mineral hints and a light, spicy oakiness. Full-bodied, lively, and briny, the palate reveals notes of peach, hazelnut, and oyster shell—typical of Chablis. The minerality blends seamlessly with the wine’s roundness, and the finish is long and fresh.

About the estate:
The first in the family line, Julien Philippon, who came from the Morvan region, settled there in 1868 as a lumberjack and gradually built up the family estate. His heir, André, purchased the Château de Fleys—a former hunting lodge—in 1988. It was a magnificent estate that he passed on to his children—Béatrice, Benoît, and Olivier—along with a 25-hectare vineyard located east of Chablis, on the right bank of the Serein River.
