"When dreams come true with this exceptional vintage!"
“It offers a balanced and concentrated bouquet, with notes of white peach and praline that blend with mineral aromas. Very composed and understated at first, it then gains in intensity. The palate is well-balanced with notes of tart marmalade and quince, offering lovely depth and cohesion, striking a balance between classic elegance and the generous, almost tropical character of the 2022 vintage. Highly recommended” (Vinous 2023)

About the estate:
A long-established family in Chablis, the Michels cultivate the finest vineyards, both Premier Cru and Grand Cru. The estate is also one of the very few to offer the Grenouilles grand cru, of which La Chablisienne remains the primary producer. Since 1969, winemaking has been carried out in stainless steel tanks, so the wines here often start out quietly in the bottle, but their minerality comes through effortlessly after a few years of aging.

Wine rated (2023 guide) 93/100
About the wine:
A grand cru with great concentration and aging potential. A superb blend of ripeness and richness, balanced by minerality and citrus acidity. On the northern slope of the Vaudésir Valley, Michel owns two plots planted on rich clay soils. Vaudésir can be a heat trap, but for the north-facing plots, this is less of an issue.

About the wine:
The 2022 Chablis Vaudésir Grand Cru comes from two plots located in the northern part of the vineyard, with vines ranging from 60 to 70 years old. It offers a balanced and concentrated bouquet, with notes of white peach and praline that blend with mineral aromas. Very composed and understated at first, it then gains in intensity. The palate is well-balanced with notes of tart marmalade and quince, offering beautiful depth and cohesion, striking a balance between classic elegance and the generous, almost tropical character of the 2022 vintage. Highly recommended.
