"A must-have from Chablis, this Grand Cru is a monster of elegance with exceptionally powerful flavors!"

"A magnificent blend of richness, grace, and dynamism. As always with Les Preuses de Fèvre, this wine is elegant, long on the palate, and refined. Ultra-stylish and very mineral. Produced from two vineyard plots. One is located below Les Preuses, next to Vincent Dauvissat's plot, on the flattest part facing south, the other on deeper soils, both bringing richness and totaling 2.5 hectares. 2026-2036" (Decanter 2023) - Delivery in wooden cases is available for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on the country and shipping method selected).

Bettane & Desseauve

Rated estate (2021 guide) 5 stars (Exceptional producers, representing the absolute pinnacle of quality in France and worldwide)

About the estate:

In post since the estate was bought by Bouchard Père et Fils of Beaune nearly a quarter of a century ago, Didier Séguier has significantly improved the quality of the wines since then. While the vineyards are undoubtedly the finest in the entire Chablis region, both in terms of premier cru and grand cru wines, it is the meticulous and rigorous work carried out in the vineyard and in the cellar that allows the quintessential minerality of Chablis' Kimmeridgian limestone to be extracted. These wines can generally be enjoyed young, but also age impeccably.

Rated estate (2023 guide) 2 stars (These very large estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).

About the estate:

Owned by the Henriot group, this estate is the largest owner of Chablis grands crus, with more than fifteen hectares. Its vast vineyard and range of great terroirs are enhanced by meticulous organization: soil cultivation, manual harvesting at the optimal time, and yield regulation. Passionate about his vines, Didier Seguier, who has been at the helm of the estate since 1998, produces pure, well-defined and clean Chablis wines, using organic methods (certification pending) and even biodynamic methods for the premier and grand cru wines. With the exception of Petit Chablis, vinification and aging are skillfully divided for each cuvée between barrels (never new) and stainless steel vats. Refusing to impose any signature style, the wines seduce with their respect for the terroir and expression of minerality, which have been better preserved since the estate gradually switched its entire range to Diam's corks between 2005 and 2010. The conversion to organic farming is underway.

About wine:

Tank sample. Intense aromas of fresh pears, pure and open. Deeply fruity on the mid-palate, balanced by excellent freshness. Persistent and with excellent tension.

About wine:

The Chablis Les Preuses Grand Cru 2022 is reminiscent of Valmur on the nose: retro and slightly sulfurous, with light hints of shellfish. The palate is more generous with orchard fruits, notes of apricot and wild peach, and lovely acidity. It is very harmonious but does not have the same complexity as Valmur on the finish. Nevertheless, it should give many years of drinking pleasure.
