"The authenticity of Burgundy Pinot: elegant fruit, a creamy texture, and spicy complexity—what harmony!"
“Its pronounced peppery and floral aromas come mainly from the dark fruits. The rich and exceptionally generous flavors offer excellent body, fine power, and excellent length, leading to a firm and slightly rustic finish. This wine is also very good and deserves your attention, provided you give it at least a little time in the cellar. 2032+” (Burghound 2026)

About the estate:
A historic estate, first mentioned in the 18th century, that today covers 24 hectares. At the helm are Roger Belland, who took over in 1981; his daughter Julie, who joined in 2003 and is in charge of winemaking; and their new colleague, Martin Boyer. While not certified organic, the estate practices sustainable and carefully managed viticulture (full grass cover in the vineyard, no herbicides) and produces wines of great consistency.

About the wine:
A 3-hectare monopole on the estate, planted 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Chardonnay. The Pinot Noir vines are over 60 years old. The pronounced peppery and floral aromas come mainly from the dark berries. The rich and exceptionally generous flavors offer excellent body, beautiful power, and excellent length, culminating in a firm and slightly rustic finish. This wine is also very good and deserves your attention, provided you allow it at least a little time in the cellar. 2032+

Wine rated (2025 guide) 91/100
About the wine:
This Monopole vineyard is now composed of equal parts Pinot and Chardonnay. 50% of the red wine is vinified using whole clusters. It has one of the darkest purple hues, yet the Pinot is lively on the nose. Dominant aromas of raspberry, softer on the palate, though there is lovely energy on the palate, with some nuanced layers, as well as a beautiful density of deep red fruit. The tannins are more refined than those of a classic Morgeot, as this vineyard is planted on limestone rather than deeper clay soil. Best enjoyed between 2029 and 2034.
