Domaine Roger Belland

Roger Belland represents the fifth generation to manage the family estate, located south of the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy, whose vineyards span 24 hectares, primarily situated in the finest Premier Crus and Grands Crus of the villages of Santenay, Maranges, Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault, Volnay, and Pommard.

With a policy firmly focused on producing high-end, quality wines, the wine press is full of praise for Domaine Roger Belland, as evidenced by the numerous articles published in specialized magazines and guides (La Revue du Vin de France, Guide Hachette, Gault Millau, Bettane & Dessauve...).

The vineyards of Domaine Roger Belland are managed using sustainable viticulture practices, with a strong emphasis on vineyard work, including short pruning, rigorous debudding, and full grass cover between the rows. Thanks to these practices, Domaine Roger Belland generally does not need to resort to extreme measures such as green harvesting. The vines, with an average age of 45 years, and the south-southeast-facing slope allow for the production of high-quality grapes with yields limited to 40 hl/ha, which are carefully harvested and sorted by hand in the vineyard. This rigorous and meticulous work ensures that each cuvée embodies the character of a great Burgundy wine.
