"This Givry from Monopole offers magnificent elegance on the palate, full of charm!"

Lively and charming, the Givry Clos de Mortières 2023 is bursting with beautiful notes of red fruit and smoke. Medium-bodied to full-bodied, layered and succulent, it is framed by fine, silky tannins.

Wine rated (2026 guide) 91/100

Rated estate (2025 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)

About the estate:

Located in Givry, this small 2.5-hectare estate is run by the Devillard family, who also own Château de Chamirey. It consists of three plots, two in the village appellation, including Clos Mortière, and one in the Servoisine premier cru. The vines are cultivated using sustainable methods under the guidance of Enrico Peyron, with manual harvesting and long aging. The parcels are adjacent and very well located within the appellation. Quantities are therefore limited but produced with care comparable to the estate's Mercureys wines.

Rated estate (2025 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)

About the estate:

This estate owes its name to La Ferté Abbey, the first daughter of Cîteaux Abbey, built in the early 7th century. Cultivated by Cistercian monks until the Revolution, the 2.4 hectares of this estate were taken over in 1995 by Bertrand Devillard (Ch. de Chamirey, Dom. des Perdrix).
