A regular feature in the Guide's favorites, the Fichet-Igé La Cra estate's 2013 Cuvée Prestige, to name but the latest, is back with this cuvée, which twirls joyfully in a pretty, light color. The complex nose evokes pineapple, lychee, lemon, and white flowers in turn. Flattering, it develops an equally exotic charm on the palate, which is full-bodied, rich, and very harmonious, underscored by perfectly balanced freshness.

About the estate:

This estate was established by Francis Fichet in 1976, leaving the Igé cooperative winery. His sons Pierre-Yves and Olivier, who have been at the helm since 1999, now cultivate 35 hectares of vines, producing around fifteen different wines from four Burgundy grape varieties. A sure bet in the Mâconnais region, complemented in 2006 by a small wine merchant business.
