Rated estate (2025 guide) 4 stars (Producers of very high quality, those who are the pride of French vineyards)

About the estate:

This family-owned estate, founded in 1797, is mainly linked to the Côte de Beaune, where it owns most of its vineyards, with a sumptuous location on the famous Corton hillside as its highlight. Louis-Fabrice, the eleventh generation of Latours, chairs the family board and has complete confidence in his excellent winemakers. The reds have undergone longer fermentation, giving them more body and substance, while the whites are less reduced and more harmoniously oaked than in the past, with a constant search for balance that sometimes leads them to be underestimated in their youth, but they age magnificently. 2017 is in line with the success of 2010 and 2015 for both colors, but we would place more trust in the cuvées from the estate's own vines than in certain purchases, especially the whites, which are too diluted.

A key player in Burgundy's wine industry and the largest owner of grands crus in the Côte-d'Or (28 hectares of its 48-hectare vineyard). Wine Green

Vert de Vin

Wine rated (2024 guide) 92-93/100 (Jonathan Choukroun Chicheportiche)

About wine:

The wine has a pale lemon yellow color. The nose is a little reserved, but offers density, richness, and notes of fresh vanilla, honey, and candied lemon peel on the first nose. After aeration, aromas of lime blossom, acacia, apple blossom, juicy stone fruits (apricot, yellow peach, mirabelle plum), orange jam and a slight hint of roasting (toasted hazelnut with a touch of caramelized hazelnut, raw almond), combined with a hint of tart lime and lemon zest. The palate opens with a savory spiciness (vanilla, cardamom), a hint of wood (roasted hazelnut, dried almond), and a touch of honey. The mid-palate reveals notes of yellow peach, apricot, candied lemon peel, fresh pineapple, as well as toasted wood (in the background), brown butter, and wax. The finish is delicately fragrant but quite persistent. Initially, there are notes of juicy stone fruit, which then evolve into honeyed, toasted, and floral notes. Beautiful mouthwatering acidity, complexity, and harmony.
