Domaine Moillard - Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Argilats 2012
2*Coup de Coeur
Hachette
"Under the guidance of its oenologist Matthieu Carrara, Moillard has produced a remarkable Nuits, unanimously praised for its balance. Initially reserved, the nose needs to be coaxed to release its aromas of red fruits mingled with spices. It is on the palate that the wine reveals itself, rich, dense, round, and smooth, carried by fine, silky tannins and just the right amount of liveliness. Ageing will bring additional complexity." (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2015)

About wine:
Vincent Sauvestre (Béjot group) remembered hearing his grandparents, grocers in Nuits-Saint-Georges, often talk about the Moillard house: he bought it in 2008, managing the trading side and the associated estate from Meursault.
