Domaine Moillard - Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Argilats 2012
2*Coup de Coeur
Hachette
“Under the guidance of its winemaker, Matthieu Carrara, Moillard has produced a remarkable Nuits, unanimously praised for its balance. At first reserved, the nose requires some time to open up and reveal its aromas of red fruit intermingled with spices. It is on the palate that the wine truly reveals itself—rich, dense, round, and smooth, supported by fine, silky tannins and just the right amount of liveliness. Aging will bring it even greater complexity.” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2015)

About the wine:
Vincent Sauvestre (Béjot Group) recalled hearing his grandparents—who ran a grocery store in Nuits-Saint-Georges—often talk about the Moillard estate: he purchased it in 2008 and has since been managing the wine trading business and the associated estate from Meursault.

A magnificent Burgundy wine with great finesse. It has a smooth palate, and the Pinot Noir’s acidity gives way to a well-balanced finish.

Just some ordinary wine. On the palate, it doesn't taste like a Nuits-Saint-Georges.

Very disappointed by this soulless wine. It's nothing more than a cheap table wine.
