Laleure-Piot - Pernand-Vergelesses Les Vergelesses 1er Cru 2010
New vintage, 2009 was rated: RVF 15/20
Les Vergelesses 1er Cru offers good aromatic intensity, with notes of small black fruits (blackberries, blackcurrants), roasted and toasted aromas, and a mineral background (calcareous marl). The attack is clean and fresh, with notes of morello cherry, a lovely structure, present but integrated tannins, and a lingering, fresh, mineral, and fruity finish.

Rated estate (2013 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking and, as such, all the estates listed in it, even those without stars, represent, in our opinion, the excellence of French production.)
About the estate:
"In 2010, Maison Champy in Beaune acquired this beautiful ten-hectare estate, which mainly produces Pernand-Vergelesses and Corton-Charlemagne wines. The quality here has always been consistent and, above all, the prices remain very affordable."
