Les Vergelesses 1er Cru offers good aromatic intensity, with notes of dark berries (blackberries, blackcurrants), roasted and toasty aromas, and a mineral backdrop (calcareous marl). The attack is clean and fresh, with notes of morello cherry, a lovely structure, tannins that are present but well-integrated, and a lingering, fresh finish that is both mineral and fruity.
