Christophe Cordier - Pouilly-Fuissé Terroirs Rares 2010

Notes: Bourgogne 16/20, Vins et Art de vivre 14.5/20, Burghound 90-93/100
Pouilly-Fuissé Terroirs Rares comes from the finest terroirs in Fuissé (near Pouilly, Menètrières, etc.). A beautiful golden color with green highlights precedes an energetic, fresh, powerful, slightly reduced nose. A full-bodied wine on the palate, with explosive aromas and a pleasant finish...

Rated estate (2016 guide) 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)

About the estate:

A workaholic with a passion for terroir, Christophe Cordier is always on the move, his businesses constantly expanding, both the family estate and the wine trading business. In both cases, he has invested in technical facilities that are rare in the region, at the cutting edge of oenological progress. The plot-by-plot approach is precise and the ageing processes are diversifying, but the sometimes excessive use of oak still masks the expression of certain vintages.

Rated estate (2015 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)

About the estate:

Founded in 1945, the Cordier estate was taken over by Roger Cordier in 1971. The arrival of his son Christophe just over five years ago has not changed the exemplary style of the wines. The estate has remained at the top for many years.
