“A rising star in Pouilly-Fuissé”

A lovely Pouilly-Fuissé with an alluring nose of white flowers, citrus, and ginger. The palate is fresh and expressive, with subtle notes of nuts (hazelnut). The salty, mouth-watering finish invites you to savor it. Domaine Giroux is one of the rising stars of the Mâconnais region—one to watch closely!

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Rated estate (2022 guide) 2*Stars (A solid, recommendable vintage, though slightly more consistent and uniform than the previous one)

About the estate:

Sébastien Giroux took over the family estate known as Yves Giroux & Fils in 2009—located halfway between Loché and Fuissé—after spending several years in the world of auto racing. As a member of the Association des Artisans Vignerons, he quickly earned the respectful admiration of his peers. The estate’s seven hectares are farmed organically without certification, with perfectionism and complete modesty. The wines are evolving toward greater personality and a more pronounced expression of their terroir.

Rated estate (2021 guide) Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)

About the estate:

Sébastien Giroux, brother of Olivier Giroux of Clos des Rocs, took over management of this six-hectare estate in 2009 after an apprenticeship with the Bret brothers. The grapes are harvested by hand, followed by gentle pressing and aging in barrels and tanks, tailored to each cuvée. The wines are consistently supple, pure, and charming.
