Note: Excerpt from the Guide Hachette
“Sun-kissed in color, clear and brilliant, with an open nose of yellow flowers, pineapple, and candied fruit. Round without being heavy, with generous fruitiness supported by freshness: this lovely Rully is a fine example of its appellation. Enjoy it now as an aperitif, paired with fresh goat cheese.” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2014)

Hachette Wine Guide

Guide Hachette des vins

Wine rated (2014 guide) Mentioned (Successful wine)

About the wine:

Owned by the magnificent Château de Rully, whose origins date back to the 12th century, this 19-hectare vineyard, like nearly 80% of the appellation’s vineyards, was struck on July 12, 2011, by a violent hailstorm that partially destroyed the harvest. But thanks to perseverance and rigorous sorting, the harvest, though smaller in quantity, proved to be of very fine quality. Witness this sun-colored wine, clear and brilliant, with a nose opening to yellow flowers, pineapple, and candied fruit. Round without being heavy, with generous fruitiness supported by freshness: this lovely Rully is a fine representative of its appellation. Enjoy it now as an aperitif, paired with fresh goat cheese.
