1*Étoile

Hachette

Vinified and aged in barrels, the greatest achievement of this Saint-Véran is that it retains the generous fruitiness and crispness of the Mâconnais wines so dear to Maison Trenel, owned by Maison Chapoutier since 2015. With exquisite aromas of ripe yellow fruit, enhanced by a hint of caramel, this white wine will hold its own at the table with fish or exotic dishes. A wonderful discovery!

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Rated estate (2017 guide) 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)

About the estate:

A discreet wine merchant located between Beaujolais and Mâconnais, offering a fair selection from both regions. Purchases are carefully monitored and regularly provide delicious satisfaction. It has just been bought by Chapoutier, which should give it greater ambition in the future.

Hachette Wine Guide

Guide Hachette des vins

Wine noted (guide 2017) 1*Star (Very successful wine)

About wine:

Seven months in oak barrels for this light-colored wine. On the nose, subtle aromas of minerality and dried fruit, particularly hazelnut. On the palate, rich, round, and elegantly floral. A harmonious wine.
