Vézelay
Burgundy appellation recognized in 2017 by the INAO, Vézelay produces exclusively dry white wines made from Chardonnay grapes. The origin of the vineyard of Vézelay dates back to the end of the 1st century and covered 500 hectares in the 18th century. But following the phylloxera epidemic, the vineyard almost disappeared completely. It was thanks to the determination of a dozen winegrowers that Vézelay was able to be reborn and flourish once again in the 1970s.

Today, the Vézelay appellation covers 70 hectares of vineyards, located on marl and limestone soils, at an altitude of 190-330m and facing south/southeast. An additional 180 hectares will enable this vineyard to expand in the coming years.

Vézelay wines generally have a nose with floral notes and hints of white fruit or citrus. With a supple, fruity attack, these wines offer beautiful tension on the palate, with citrus and mineral notes.
