“A lovely wine to share!”

“Here is ‘a wine that makes an impression,’ the tasters note, ‘one that stands out from the crowd.’ They praise its intense nose, which wanders between orange blossom, a pat of butter, and vanilla notes. Then there is its palate, as powerful as it is smooth and delicate, underpinned by a subtle mineral tension that complements the fruit’s roundness against a slightly oaky backdrop. A complete and distinguished wine that does justice to the appellation.” (Le Guide Hachette 2025)

About the wine:

"This is a wine that makes an impression," the tasters note, "one that stands out from the crowd." They praise its intense nose, which ranges from orange blossom to a pat of butter and hints of vanilla. On the palate, it is as powerful as it is smooth and delicate, underpinned by a subtle mineral edge that complements the fruit's roundness against a slightly oaky backdrop. A complete and distinguished wine that does justice to the appellation.

About the estate:

Both agricultural engineers and oenologists, Sophie and Matthieu Woillez have been based in the town of Tharoiseau since 2009. Their 13-hectare vineyard, planted mainly with Chardonnay, covers a hillside overlooking Vézelay. They are in the process of converting to organic farming.
