"The Grenache vines in this vineyard date back to 1910—taste a piece of the variety's history!"
“It’s always exciting to taste wines from a vineyard whose origins date back to 1910. This bottling offers aromas of sandalwood, cigar box, black plum, and wild cherry on the nose. The palate is even more expansive, opening with flavors of chai-spiced pudding, supported by just the right amount of structure. ” (Wine Enthusiast 2025)

About the wine:
The 2023 Grenache Besson Vineyard Old Vines, which bears the Central Coast appellation, comes from a corner of the Santa Clara Valley, not far from Santa Cruz. Strongly influenced by the cool climate, it offers layers of wild strawberries, crushed white pepper, and chalky tannins, with a texture that reflects its youth. It may need more time in the bottle (and in the glass) to fully unfold its power; best enjoyed between 2025 and 2030.
