Champagne Gilles Mansard - 100% Chardonnay
2*Étoiles
Hachette
“Blanc de Blancs”
“This oak-aged Chardonnay is just as good as last year’s. While the oak is barely perceptible in its aromatic profile—which highlights its floral and fruity freshness (white fruits)—it certainly contributes to the structure of this full-bodied, powerful, rich, and long-finishing Blanc de Blancs. A harmonious Champagne, dosed with finesse.” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2024). A remarkable Champagne for the table.

About the estate:
In 1901, Benoni Mansard, based in Cerseuil in the Marne Valley, produced the first vintages. Gilles Mansard, his great-grandson, took over the business in 1986 and is now joined by his sons, Vincent and Maxime. The family owns 24 hectares of vineyards and 18th-century cellars in Épernay.

Very good! Let it age in the cellar for at least a year to fully develop its potential.
