Moët & Chandon Champagne
The iconic Moët & Chandon House owes its name to Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, who visited the estates in Épernay many times and awarded Jean-Rémi Moët the Legion of Honor. According to legend, Napoleon and his troops invented the tradition of sabering Moët champagne bottles to celebrate a victory. The founders, Claude Moët and his grandson Jean-Rémy, were innovative thinkers who transformed a prestigious regional wine into the most sought-after wine in Europe. They then set out to conquer international markets.

The Moët & Chandon vineyard is the largest wine estate in Champagne, covering 1,150 hectares of vines, 50% of which are classified as grands crus and 25% as premiers crus. The richness and abundance of the three dominant grape varieties, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay, allow the best to be selected.

The unique historical expertise of Moët & Chandon is combined with cutting-edge technology to create a harmonious and internationally recognized balance in their champagnes. The style is distinctive: bright fruitiness, a savory palate, and elegant maturity, the result of a slow and gradual progression from the vineyard to the cellar.
