“One of the best vintages of the iconic Seña wine, the 2021 Seña comes from a cooler year, similar to 2016 and 2018, and certainly cooler than 2020 and 2019. It has a highly expressive, elegant, nuanced, fragrant, subtle, and pure nose, with aromatic finesse that is layered and complex. [...] It is refined and structured yet juicy, similar to the 2018 but with greater finesse. It features the spicy/herbal notes of Cabernet, ultra-refined tannins that lend it great elegance, as well as length, purity, and definition. A highly nuanced aromatic profile of crisp red plum, red cherry, cranberry, wild strawberry, and blood orange, with more robust notes of dark chocolate and tobacco. Subtle floral notes add to the wine’s appeal. On the palate, there is an interesting tension between the depth and richness of the fruit and the robust, vertical acidity. 2024–2040

An overwhelming nose with a cornucopia of black, red, and blue berries, perfectly accentuated by subtle toasted oak. With aeration, floral notes develop. The medium- to full-bodied palate is highly concentrated, vibrant, and incredibly refined. The finish is so brilliant that the wine’s power builds steadily. Still very young, but already dangerously delicious. It will be truly difficult to wait. Made from biodynamically grown grapes. Ready to drink now, but will be at its best starting in 2025.
