Aconcagua Valley
The Aconcagua Valley is located 65 km north of Chile's capital, Santiago. At the foot of Mount Aconcagua, the highest peak in the Americas at 6,956 meters, the Aconcagua Valley has a Mediterranean climate. Stretching from east to west, there are two distinct soil types: mostly sandy loam in the east and clay-granite in the west.

Best known for its highly acclaimed red wines, the Aconcagua Valley is predominantly planted with Cabernet Sauvignon (303 hectares), as well as Syrah (155 ha), Sauvignon Blanc (117 ha), Pinot Noir (99 ha), Merlot (90 ha), Chardonnay (64 ha), Carménère (63 ha), and Cabernet Franc (61 ha).
