"This Chilean icon has been ranked among the 100 best wines in the world tasted by James Suckling in 2024!"
"What fabulous fragrant aromas of lavender, blackcurrant, graphite, tapenade and hints of sweet tobacco. So complex and sophisticated. Medium to full-bodied, with incredibly fine, long tannins. Lingers for minutes. It's all about elegance and class. There's harmony and freshness for a dry year. Seductive and so long. 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Carmenere, 4% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. It can be drunk now, but it's a wine for laying down. Drink from 2028. (James Suckling 2022) - Ranked 52nd out of 100 of the world's best wines tasted in 2024 by James Suckling - Delivery in wooden case possible for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on country and shipping method selected)

Eye
A seductive, vibrant dark ruby color
Nose
Pure and layered, with a generous and elegant bouquet of blackberry, blackcurrant and wild strawberry, combined with mineral nuances and delicate notes of violet, ink, vanilla and dark chocolate.
Mouth
The wine is remarkably well-balanced, full of life, density, structure, roundness and flavor. Well-ripened, coated tannins give it a voluptuous texture, perfectly balanced by great acidity. The evolution leaves an impression of fullness, length and elegance.

Wine rated (2024 guide) 96/100 (Extraordinary wine)
About the wine:
Almaviva 2022 opens with an intense, woody nose, with savory aromas of roasted bell pepper and pleasant notes of lavender and dried herbs. The palate is dense, succulent and tannic, with considerable concentration and opulence. The finish continues this lush, complex opulence, ending with supple, firm and tenacious tannins, nicely supported by fresh acidity and herbaceous, mentholated notes. Despite its immediate richness, this wine is quite taut, and it will take a few years for its formidable tannins to integrate further. But it will be a pleasure to watch it evolve over the next decade and beyond. This is a blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Carménère, 4% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot, aged for 20 months in 70% new French oak. 2026-2037
