Notes: RVF 17.5/20, Bettane & Desseauve 17/20
"A very, very great Bianco-Gentile 2009 with a noble reduction and an impressive length on the palate." (Les Meilleurs Vins de France 2011 - RVF). "Broad, generous, great depth of flavor, great richness. " (Le Grand Guide des Vins de France 2011 - Bettane & Desseauve). This excellent white, made from the rare grape variety of the same name, is simply magnificent with an exceptionally long finish!

RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Rated estate (2012 guide) 2 stars (These very large estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the estate:
"A meticulous winemaker and leader in Patrimonio, Antoine Arena is convinced that the identity of Corsican wines depends on healthy viticulture, particularly soil cultivation, as well as winemaking that is as natural as possible. This noble cause also takes into account—and this is essential—the potential of indigenous grape varieties on selected terroirs, enabling the production of a whole range of wines with a strong identity, from the famous Carco à Grotte di Sol to the more recent Morta Maïo. While the estate has experienced excesses in over-ripeness in certain vintages (with "dry" whites with high residual sugar levels) and in the power of the reds, the latest vintages have found a more accurate and precise balance and finesse of extraction. Today, with Antoine's sons, Jean-Baptiste and Antoine-Marie, the estate is experiencing a new impetus, with a particular desire to develop wood-aged wines. This is an estate that has never known a lull!

From memory, I found it too "hot," the bastard! But then again, it's a matter of taste. Because at Arena, they don't make bad wines. For me, he's the best winemaker in Corsica.
