The upper part of the Clos is composed of granite arenas and colluvial deposits. The lower part rests on clay-limestone soils and rounded pebbles.

Viticulture

Spring plowing and winter grazing by sheep herds contribute to the natural and controlled maintenance of soil vegetation, with 100% organic amendments.

About the estate:

Jean-François Renucci took over Clos Poggiale alongside Terra Vecchia, and immediately the wines regained the charm and finesse of the great vintages of the Skalli era. The terroir is suited to all three colors, and the desire to showcase the wines on the continent and as far afield as Asia will benefit Corsican viticulture as a whole.
