"Their flagship wine, the 2022 Clos Mogador, from a single vineyard, was produced from a blend of grape varieties, primarily Grenache and Cariñena, but also a little Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon [...] It has a very Mediterranean nose with abundant notes of dry hay and straw, along with the classic notes of wet slate—also very typical of Priorat—and it has a round palate with very fine, chalky tannins. It is serious and harmonious, and comes across as relaxed, without any excess. It has an alcohol content of 14%, with 5.4 grams of acidity and a very dry finish. None of the 2022 vintages showed any excessive heat or ripeness. The alcohol is restrained and well-integrated, and the wines are balanced and harmonious, though with a more Mediterranean profile. About the wine:
Their flagship wine, the 2022 Clos Mogador, sourced from a single vineyard, was produced from a blend of grape varieties, primarily Grenache and Cariñena, but also a small amount of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon (less and less, as they are in the process of grafting most of them). It was fermented with 40% whole clusters and aged in 2,000- and 2,500-liter oak casks; some of these are old barrels, to avoid using too much new oak, and some batches finish their aging in concrete tanks for a total of about 20 months. They have implemented some changes, moving to larger volumes and switching from barrels to casks (with the low volumes of 2024, the wine will be aged exclusively in casks). It has a very Mediterranean nose with abundant notes of dry hay and straw, along with the classic notes of wet slate—also very typical of Priorat—and it has a round palate with very fine, chalky tannins. It is serious and harmonious, and seems relaxed, without any excess. 35,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2024. 2025–2038

About the wine:
The woody aromas are still somewhat pronounced, but that doesn't prevent the wine from expressing its full complexity and impressive depth. Graphite, roasted spices, and a medley of dried herbs and sweet cherries. It is round, almost full-bodied, and complex, with firm, refined tannins and a long finish. Best enjoyed starting in 2025.
