About wine:
Com Tu 2022 is a village red wine from La Figuera, in Montsant, produced from a higher altitude terroir with varied limestone and clay soils, made from Grenache grapes grown on three different plots. Forty percent of the wine was fermented using semi-carbonic maceration and 60% using long maceration after destemming, then aged in old casks and concrete vats for 18 months. This wine was launched by the youngest son, Anderson, and is now produced by his brothers, as he has turned his attention to gastronomy and is now planning to embark on a wine project in Terra Alta. It has a very classic nose, with notes of smoked bacon that transported me to the Rhône Valley. It comes from a vineyard similar to those used by Christian Barbier to make his Deunido, but it is extremely different, and he has started working with cover crops. They have used a new label this year. Christian told me that it was inspired by the wines of Viña Tondonia (it also reminded me of the old Masia Barril labels), representing the village (it is a village wine) and with a traditional look. The wine has a Mediterranean profile with lots of aromatic herbs, wilted flowers, and a subtle earthy touch. The palate is medium-bodied, with a pleasant texture and slightly dusty tannins. 12,800 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2024. 2025-2035

About wine:
Herbaceous nose with aromas of wild berries, dried Mediterranean herbs, and lovely notes of sauerkraut and ripe, sweet red berries. The palate is firm and textured, with round, mineral fruit that glides into a long finish. Drink now or cellar.
