Bodegas Dominio de Cair

Dominio de Cair is a challenge that producer Luis Canas has set for himself in the Ribera del Duero region, after devoting his life to Bodegas Luis Cañas, the family winery in Rioja Alavesa, and later to Bodegas Amaren, built to honor his mother’s memory.

After a long search to find the right terroir and suitable vineyards, Juan Luis Canas settled in La Aguilera, a small hamlet in the northern part of the DO, rich in old vines planted on clay-limestone soils mixed with sand and gravel, at an elevation of between 800 and 950 meters.

Focusing on quality rather than quantity, Bodegas Dominio de Cair practices balanced and sustainable viticulture across its 85 hectares of vineyards, grounded in respect for the environment through yield controls and modern winemaking equipment, in order to produce greatBodegas Dominio de Cairwines that express the quintessence of the land where they were born.
