Bodegas Dominio de Cair

Cair Domain is a challenge that producer Luis Canas has taken on in the Ribera del Duero appellation, after devoting his life to Bodegas Luis Cañas, the family winery in Rioja Alavesa, and later to Bodegas Amaren, built to honor the memory of his mother.

After a long search to find the right terroir and suitable vineyards, Juan Luis Canas settled in La Aguilera, a small hamlet in the northern part of the DO, rich in old vines planted on clay-limestone soils with sand and gravel, at an altitude of between 800 and 950 meters.

Focusing on quality rather than quantity, Bodegas Dominio de Cair applies balanced and sustainable viticulture practices to its 85 hectares of vineyards, based on respect for the environment with yield controls and modern winemaking equipment, in order to produce greatBodegas Dominio de Cairwines that express the essence of the land where they are born.
