The 2018 Viña Cubillo Tinto Crianza red wine is elegant and alluring, fresh and aromatic, with floral notes. It is the product of a challenging year marked by heavy rains and high humidity. This vineyard is typically the last to be harvested, and the grapes were picked late, on October 26. This blend consists of 70% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacho, and 5% Graciano and Mazuelo, and it aged for six years in a combination of oak vats and well-seasoned American oak barrels. It is elegant and crisp, young and still evolving, with very fine tannins and a silky, refined palate. It has an alcohol content of 13.5%, a pH of 3.0, and an acidity of 6.5 grams. This could be the best Cubillo in recent years, and it’s a real bargain. 120,000 bottles were produced. It was bottled in March 2024. 2026–2035
