“In 2005, Lar de Paula Merus.4 marked the winery’s shift toward an international style. Opaque purple in color, it was aged for 18 months in one-third new French and American oak barrels. Aromas of toasted oak, burnt earth, minerals, blueberry, and black cherry characterize this medium-bodied to full-bodied wine, which is tightly structured and dense, with plenty of structure.
