"In 2005, Lar de Paula Merus.4 opened up the winery's international style. Opaque purple in color, it was aged for 18 months in one-third new French and American oak barrels. Aromas of toasted oak, burnt earth, minerals, blueberry, and black cherry for a medium-bodied to full-bodied wine that is tight and dense with lots of structure. Spicy black fruit notes linger in a long finish. Keep for 5 to 6 years in the cellar and drink until 2025. (Wine Advocate - Robert Parker)
