This late harvest wine develops an intense nose of citrus aromas, elderflower, and lime blossom, enhanced by fresh notes of tropical fruit. Elegant and charming, the palate has a smooth attack, marked by a frank mineral acidity. The balance between residual sugar and acidity is perfectly achieved. A remarkable sweet wine!

Review and opinion by Mr. DIDIER P. Published on 11/02/2019

An excellent, very clear white wine with a delicate floral nose. Reminiscent of its older siblings, the Tokay Aszú wines, whose similarity can be detected in the grape variety. Lively, exuberant, and assertive, with a balance of acidity and a certain mellowness (typical of Tokay wines), it is difficult to pair with fruity desserts, pies, and cakes (I have conducted several tests, all of which were disappointing). I see it mainly as an aperitif under the arbor with a few well-chosen zakouski. A rather unusual case of a wine that is perfect on its own.
