An excellent, very clear white wine with a delicate floral aroma. It brings to mind its older siblings, the Tokaj Aszú wines, which are closely related in terms of grape variety. Lively, exuberant, and captivating, with a balance of acidity and a certain sweetness (typical of Tokaj wines), it is difficult to pair with fruity desserts, tarts, and cakes (I’ve tried several times, all with disappointing results). I see it best as an aperitif under the arbor with a few well-chosen zakouski. A rather unique case of a wine that’s perfect on its own.
