Agricola Punica - Montessu 2015

“This is the estate’s second wine, just a touch less formal than Barrua. The 2015 Montessu is a blend of Carignan, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Syrah. It ages in barrels for up to one year. The wine reveals an almost black color with ruby highlights that shimmer from within. The Cabernet aromas—black fruits, spices, toasted herbs, and black olives—are immediate and distinct. The wine is well-structured and has a smooth texture. It coats the palate with firm intensity.” (Wine Advocate 2017 – Robert Parker)
