At first sip, this is a smooth, easy-drinking wine with red fruit notes. But the vanilla notes—a result of the aging process—become tiresome and detract from its character. It’s a shame, because the lasagna, with its beef and pancetta ragout, undoubtedly deserved a better pairing.

A wine that’s pleasant at first sip, with aromas of red fruits (wild strawberries, cherries), but the residual sugar quickly spoils the experience. Ultimately, it lacks balance and freshness—I don’t know what I’m going to do with the five remaining bottles...

Opulent and shimmering, Stelle Primitivo is bursting with ultra-concentrated, luscious, and sweet red fruits reminiscent of Burlat cherries, red plums, and wild strawberries, which come together in a delightful blend that’s both fresh and juicy, with incredibly supple, fine, and beautifully velvety tannins supported by a crisp acidity that ensures lovely harmony and easy drinkability, while adding an extra touch of elegance to this highly appealing wine. It’s hard to beat this in terms of value for money! A Gem and indulgent Gem to share this spring in a convivial setting with Mediterranean cuisine: arugula salad with bresaola and burrata, Neapolitan pizza, cannelloni Bolognese....Rating = 4.2.
