Pouilles
Nestled in the "heel" of Italy, the region of Apulia has the ideal climate for viticulture: rain in the winter and very hot, dry summers. Known for its abundant production, Puglia accounts for nearly a quarter of Italy’s total wine output.
The Apulia are divided into five wine-growing regions, each distinguished by its grape varieties and soil.
Apulia primarily produces red wine from grape varieties such as Primitivo, Negroamaro, and Nero di Troia, as well as white wine made from Bianco d'Alessano, Bonbino Bianco, and Fiano.
