“Perfection in Sangiovese, with aromas of cherry blossoms, chalk, seashells, fine sand, and violets on the nose and palate. Medium-bodied to full-bodied, with concentrated, balanced tannins that are wonderfully integrated and seem to go on forever. Crisp and velvety on the finish. What presence! You’ll want to spend time with this wine. A top-tier selection from two vineyards—Olmo and another located in the Chianti Classico village of Lamole—which are 60 and 88 years old, respectively. This is a wine that’s already a great pleasure to drink, but will be even better in two or three years. ” (James Suckling 2024) - Delivery in a wooden crate is available for orders of 3 bottles of this wine (depending on the country and shipping method selected)

About the wine:
Colore is made from old vines located in the Chianti Classico hills, in Lamole and Olmo. “Colore has been my dream ever since I started working with old vines... The Lamole vineyard is magnificent—it’s THE vineyard of Chianti Classico,” explains Bibi Graetz. 2022 was a hot year, so Bibi decided to use only the grapes from her north-facing vineyards. “This hot year has given me this material—even though it’s at high altitude and north-facing, the grapes have real punch. ” Precisely crafted and highly intense, Colore 2022 is both smooth and lively. Black berries, spices, and blood orange come together in a lingering, tangy finish. It’s more reserved than the Testamatta at the moment, but should reveal more of its beauty over time. 2025–2045

About the wine:
A ruby color reminiscent of a gemstone, translucent, though slightly deeper than some vintages. A captivating wine that captures all its juiciness and delicacy even amid the heat of 2022. Of medium intensity, it reveals aromas of raspberry and ripe red fruits—well-balanced, intense—with hints of orange peel, rosemary, tobacco, white tea, pomegranate, cherry pits, cut grass, and forest floor. It’s flavorful, with a finish of sweet red licorice—I love it. Perfectly balanced—this wine embodies the lively Tuscan flair of owner and winemaker Bibi Graetz.
