Caiarossa
Owned by the Alabada Jelgersma family (owners of Château Giscours) since 2004, Caiarossa was established in 1998 and is located in Italy, 15 km north of Bolgheri (Tuscany).
The Caiarossa logo depicts Dionysus, the god of vegetation and wine. This clay head of Etruscan origin (4th century BC) was found on the estate and is now owned by Eric Albada Jelgersma.
Cultivated using biodynamic methods, the Caiarossa vineyard spans 38 hectares, divided into 47 plots and planted with 10 grape varieties (including 7 reds and 3 whites).
“Caiarossa wines,” says Alexander van Beek (CEO of Caiarossa), “are not intended solely for wine lovers but for all those who seek beauty in life. To men and women fascinated by the unique, whether it be a glass of wine, a work of art, or the pristine summit of a mountain. What the Albada Jelgersma family seeks to offer in the glass is the luxury of Mother Nature, which humanity has helped to create.”
