Valpolicella Classico 2011 is a red wine meant to be enjoyed young, for its freshness and fruitiness. King Theodoric considered it one of the best in Italy. The finest tribute to it came from Ernest Hemingway in one of his novels, where he speaks of it with great affection: “It is dry, red, and friendly, like a brother’s home.” What a compliment!
