"All the elegance and delicacy of Château-Chalon".

Château-Chalon En Beaumont 2017 presents a beautiful golden yellow color, with a nose of nuts, dried fruit and peat. Elegant and delicate on the palate, with a peaty structure. Ideal with a Bresse chicken with morels, it will also be perfect with a very good Comté...

Wine noted (guide 2026) 1*Star (Very successful wine)

About the wine:

Of course, there's that distinctive yellow wine aromatic base, but also, on the nose, aromas of fruit, plum in particular, roasting and even hints of pastry. Full-bodied, powerful and round, the palate is beautifully long.

Domaine noté (guide 2024) Sélectionné (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).

About the wine:

Less explosive, but just as intense, Château Chalon develops a gripping smoky, minty flavor with memorable length. Like the Arbois, it's at the heart of the typicity of its origin, proving once again that ageing yellow wines under veil enables their expression.

About the domain :

This historic estate based in Passenans was given a second birth when Emmanuel Grand and his partner Nathalie, daughter of Arbois winemakers, took it over in 2015, considerably reducing the vineyard area and deciding to convert to organic farming. The results are not long in coming, and the range, which embraces all Jura specialties, grows every year. "I like to master in order to know," asserts the rigorous Emmanuel Grand: his credo is perfectly illustrated in the very clean wines, full of brilliance, greed and character. The future belongs to them.
